Collaborative tldraw whiteboard from the Feb 25 Scenius Workshop, capturing the brainstorming session on Telegram group restructuring using the SCQOD framework.
Problem Definition
Telegram as backplane (like Slack) — exploring chat/rooms alternatives and a new TG design.
Proposed TG Structure
Home = 4 primary TG channels:
- General “chat”
- Bulletin Board (from sub-groups)
- Events
- The Drip — roll-ups from sub-groups
With sub-groups for each topic/working group. Members encouraged to join 2-5 groups.
Problems being solved:
- Overwhelm of info/content (chaos)
- Difficulty navigating content, especially as a new member
- Lack of member ownership over spaces
Tensions
- Telegram is working (kinda?)
- Notion feels hard to work with
- Privacy concerns — private by default
- Awareness of event happenings
- Confusion on which channel to do things in
- Too much info overwhelm
Options Considered
- Moving to a new community platform (not enough buy-in, maybe too big a change)
- Streamlining what we have
- Experimental app
- Opt-in subgroups with rollup summaries
Sensemaking Scenius Structure
- Supergroup — group with topics, private by default, invites
- Group — private, opt-in by members-only, topic-centric areas
- Channel — public, anyone can join (e.g. “Sensemaking Drip”) with de-identified data sharing or attributed content with approval
Scenius 2nd Brain
- Private-to-community by default
- Any curated outputs with direct quotes gets reviewed by whomever is being quoted

- Require each channel to have a Charter doc linked from header (and 1-2 Stewards)
Next Steps
- Kristen will do an audit and mapping of existing channels
- Kristen will draft the role of sub-group steward
- Kristen will roll this up into a draft proposal
